Shon TenKley, Pastor of Student Ministries
After growing up in Lynden, WA, (Go Lynden Lions!) he graduated from Centralia Community College with an Associates Degree in 1994. He received his B.A. in Bible and Youth Ministry from Multnomah University in 1997. Shon served as Youth Pastor at Central Bible Church in Portland, Oregon from 1998-2011.
Shon loves working with students and families. Some of his favorite things about being a youth pastor include: students accepting Christ, long van rides with lots of singing, watching students mature in Christ, playing the games: Silent football and Four on a couch, retreat food, mission trips, hitting students with dodge balls, meeting with dads, training leaders, and sending out interns to be youth pastors.
Shon and his wife Melody have been married since 1997 and have six children: Clara, Timmy, Audrey, Thaddeus, Caleb, and Matthias. On his days off you can find him playing with the kids, hunting, fishing, mowing the lawn, and having fun. You can also feel free to invite him over to watch the Seahawk's and Mariner's play anytime!
